How to Get There / Accessibility

Getting to the Colorado Super Luge is a breeze. The starting point is in Plagne Centre, via the Colorado chairlift. Simply report to the bottom of the chairlift, and you’ll be given a sledge. Don’t worry! The luge is hooked onto the side of your chairlift, you don’t have to keep hold of it! The chairlift ride itself offers stunning views of the area. Plus you ride over a large section of the luge track, setting the stage for the excitement to come. Once you reach the top, you're just steps away from the start of your sledging adventure.

Can Kids Do The La Plagne Luge?

Absolutely, but there's a catch. The super luge is open to anyone over 1.40m tall. This height requirement ensures that participants can safely handle their sledge. Specifically, the breaks. Each sledge is designed for individual use, so it's important to note that you can't take younger children on your knee. It's a solo adventure that promises thrills for those who meet the height criteria!

How much does the Luge cost?

A single run down the track costs 11€. But I’d recommend grabbing some friends and getting the 5 runs at 44€. It's a great way to fill an afternoon with laughter and speed.

Do You Need to Book Ahead?

Nope, no need to book in advance! This makes the Colorado Super Luge an excellent choice for those spontaneous moments when you decide you're ready for some action. Just head to the bottom of the Colorado lift to get started. It's as simple as that. There's an automatic machine you can buy the tickets at, just at the bottom of the Colorado chairlift.

You can also buy your tickets online before heading up if you want to get organised.

Opening Hours

The sledging run is open daily between 10.30 am and 4.45 pm, giving you plenty of time to fit this adventure into your day. Whether you're an early bird or prefer an after-lunch activity, the Colorado Super Luge awaits.

What to Wear for the Colorado Luge

Dress warmly! I recommend waterproof ski gear, gloves, and sturdy boots – not ski boots. Even though you're sitting down, the chilly Alpine air can be quite biting, especially as you pick up speed down the track. Don't forget your helmet (provided with your sledge) for safety. And while goggles aren't a must, they can help keep the wind out of your eyes so you can focus on the fun.

That's La Plagne & The Thrill of the Ride

Experiencing the Colorado Super Luge sledging was an absolute blast—a perfect mix of speed, snow, and scenery that we couldn't get enough of. It's a fantastic way to add a dash of adventure to your ski holiday in La Plagne, especially for those with older kids looking for a bit of independence and excitement. So, bundle up, grab your sledge, and I'll see you on the slopes!
