Restaurant 1: La Marmotte Qui Fume
La Marmotte Qui Fume, in Aime 2000, is where you'll find the perfect blend of a warm, family-friendly atmosphere and exquisite fondue. The cosy setting, warm welcome from Pascale and affordable price range make it a popular choice among locals and tourists alike. Their fondue is simply divine – the creamy cheese and the subtle notes of wine will leave your taste buds dancing with joy.
To get here from the ski slopes or your accommodations, hop on the free La Plagne shuttle bus to Plagne Centre and then hop on the free telemetro ski lift for a short ride to Aime 2000. The telemetro runs until 11.30 pm.
Restaurant 2: La Metairie
We love La Metairie in Plagne Centre. It’s where my husband proposed! The ambience here is friendly and perfect for families, offering a kid-friendly environment and reasonable pricing. I will say they do cram the tables in, so space is tight, but it makes for a buzzing atmosphere!
My personal favourite is their fondue with cepes, which adds an extra layer of richness to an already delightful dish. To reach La Metairie, take the shuttle buses to Plagne Centre.
Restaurant 3: La Face Nord
La Face Nord in Bellecôte offers a modern, colourful and welcoming environment that will make you feel right at home. What sets it apart is the lively and eclectic decoration – every corner is perfect for your next Instagram post. Plus, the food and fondue is delicious. You'll be impressed by the authentic flavours. To get here, you need to take the free shuttle bus to Plagne Bellecôte and then hop on the free bubble lift up to Belle Plagne. The bubble lift and shuttle buses run until 11.30 p.m.

In the heart of Plagne 1800, you'll find the authentic Alpine charm and unique taste of fondue at Le Petit Chaperon Rouge. This little gem is perfect for families and will delight your palate without breaking the bank. To find this charming spot, take the shuttle bus to Plagne 1800. You do need to walk across the piste, and it’s not far. But it’s not ideal for little children or if you are pushing a buggy.

For an unforgettable dining experience, head to Au Coin du Feu in Plagne Soleil. The lively atmosphere here adds an extra layer of excitement to your meal. The fondue is just perfect, and in our opinion, this is one to leave the kids behind and enjoy for date night or adults only. Reaching Au Coin du Feu is easy; either take the shuttle bus from Plagne Centre up to Plagne Soleil or take the Telebus bubble lift from Plagne Centre to Plagne Villages and then walk to Soleil – or take the free bus.
