FUN FAMILY NON-SKIING ACTIVITIES
La Plagne is famous for its incredible skiing, but if you’re looking for more than just time on the slopes (or fancy a break from skiing altogether), there’s a whole world of non-skiing activities to explore! As a local living here with my two boys (aged 6 and 8) and a baby girl, I’m constantly out trying different activities with my family. Whether you’re visiting with kids or want some off-piste fun, I’ve got you covered with my top recommendations.

After a day of fun, my kids love a cosy meal on the ski slopes or indulging in a warm crêpe at one of the village cafés – perfect for refueling before the next adventure!
For something a bit more unique, try snowshoeing, which is a great way to explore the beautiful alpine scenery at a slower pace. We also love the indoor climbing walls just in the valley below La Plagne – it’s a fantastic option for when the weather isn’t cooperating or if the kids have extra energy to burn!
Fancy some relaxation? Spa days in La Plagne are a perfect treat, whether you’re winding down after a ski session or just want a little ‘me-time’. For a bit of culture, don’t miss guided historical tours of the local villages – a great way to learn about the region’s history and traditions.
If you’re looking for excitement, there’s also paragliding for the thrill-seekers, or you can try your hand at ice skating, which is always a hit with my boys. For something really unique, take a helicopter tour and soak in the panoramic views of the Alps from above.
