Ski Safety and the Piste X Code Arrives in La Plagne
You might now know this, but I arrived in La Plagne as a complete beginner skier. I’d tried a couple of lessons on a dry ski slope in the UK but never hit real snow. I watched the snowboard cross in the Winter Olympics and thought, “I’ve GOT to try that!”
Fast forward to now, when I live in La Plagne in the French Alps. I’ve been working in the ski industry for nearly 20 years, plus bringing up 2 fanatical ski kids in La Plagne. And one of the biggest things that still concerns me is ski safety on the mountain. Specifically, how to educate our littlest skiers from the youngest age so that they grow up understanding the importance of skiing safety and having fun!

Developed by 2 passionate Morzine ski mums, Amie and Louise, this initiative seeks to make ski safety education engaging and more accessible for skiers of all ages. The Piste X Code is not just a set of rules; it's a community-driven movement that encourages responsible and enjoyable snow sports experiences.
Who is Monty?
Introducing Monty, the lovable blue yeti and proud mascot of the Piste X Code! With his sparkling blue fur and friendly smile, Monty brings a touch of magic to the ski slopes of La Plagne. More than just an adorable face, Monty is on a mission to promote ski safety with a playful spirit, making every skiing adventure a blend of fun and responsible enjoyment.
