Favourite French Beauty Products: Typology

Typology: Made In France, natural, efficient and accessible
I discovered the Typology skincare range during the 2020 lockdown. I was searching for a brand with sustainability at its core, and Typology popped up. A B Corp registered business, they clearly walked the walk.
I placed my first order, and I haven't looked back! I've tried and tested a range of Typology products and loved most of them!
I'm now excited to be a Typology brand affiliate, which means if you order any products from my page, I receive a small commission at no extra cost to you.

French Beauty and Skincare
It's no secret that the French enjoy an elevated position when it comes to chic fashion. And the same is true when it comes to morning routines, skincare and make-up products. You only have to visit a French pharmacy and see the shelves full of natural and holistic beauty products to understand the importance placed on healthy skin rather than using makeup to create the illusion of healthy skin.
The Typology products embrace this mentality, focusing on using high-quality products to create great products BUT also keeping the costs down by selling directly to us, the end users, rather than through online platforms like Amazon or Sephora.
Winter ski holiday skincare
You might have read my recent article, where I highlighted my top 10 tips for glowing winter skin. Well, a lot of hose products were Typology, and it made me realise I needed to write up a post purely on this range to really do them justice.
The reason why the typology products work so well for winter and ski holidays is that they are focused on hydration and creating that inner glow that comes with healthy skin. Living in a ski resort, the air is dryer and harsh on hair and skin. Meaning that every day is a hunt for hydration! It basically means that the locals who live here are experts in finding those products. Combining that with the classic French style, we have the recipe for success.
So read on to check out my top Typology products for radiant skin – and glowing Instagram photos!
1 Hyalauronic Face Serum
Hydrating Serum
with 3% Hyaluronic Acid + 2% B5
This is one of the first products I invested in from Typology, and it's become the cornerstone of my skincare routine. Incredibly hydrating, I use it morning and evening on clean, cleansed skin. To add an extra boost of hydration, I spritz my skin with a mist of cool water, then add 2 – 3 drops of hyaluronic acid to my fingertips and massage them into my skin.

2 Niacinamide 12%
“simple & so delightful” MINDBODYGREEN
Niacinamide helps prevent blemishes and reduce redness post-breakout. I've always had quite an uneven skin complexion that leans towards redness. This product has really evened out my complexion and has definitely reduced any breakouts and blackheads. If I do have any spots or blemishes coming up, I dab some extra of this serum onto the area at night, and by morning, the spot has disappeared.

It also evens out my complexion and has reduced the size or noticeability of my pores.
3 Vitamine C 11%
Radiance Serum
with 11% Vitamin C
“Illuminate dull, tired skin with a serum rich in actives that help store radiance.”
This is the description on the Typology site, and it resonated so hard with me! In the dry winter ski season, I feel like illumination is exactly what I'm chasing.
I use 3 – 4 drops in the morning and evening after the 2 above products. It isn't oily or greasy and absorbs beautifully into the skin. I think it is also helping even out some age spots that have started to creep in as well!

4 9-ingredient Moisturiser
Lightweight and non-greasy.
I've struggled to find a daily moisturiser that provides enough hydration in the winter without being greasy and looking oily on my skin. This moisturiser is great. It's really lightweight and absorbs quickly into my skin. A small amount keeps me hydrated all day. I have quite sensitive skin, and this felt quite calming on my skin.

5 Tinted Face Serum
Vitamin C, Squalane & Aloe Vera
For me, a tinted face serum is a must-have during the winter months. I love that it gives me a small amount of coverage BUT also nourishes my skin at the same time. It helps with brightening and evening out my skin tone. I'm the shade type 2.
It really does leave my skin glowing, like I've just finished a hydrating sheet face mask (I haven't!).

6 Retinol 0,3%
“our favourite product from the range” COSMOPOLITAN
I've known for a long time I should be using a retinol product in my skincare routine. But I have quite sensitive skin and so have been concerned about how my skin would react. This Typology retinol has been good – however, I only use it in the evenings and every 3 – 4 days. I was initially using it every evening, and I think it was too much for my skin.

7 Purifying Night Serum
Botanical Blend With Peony
If you don't have an oil in your skincare routine, you're missing out!
I've tried a few of the different night oils, and this has been my favourite so far. A 30ml bottle lasts me about 5 months as well – a little goes a long way!
It feels so luxurious and also lightweight. I also use an extra couple of drops to massage into my hands, and they are definitely looking refreshed as well!

8 Glow Drops
5% Vitamin C + Aloe Vera
Another little makeup highlighter that I also feel like it's doing something good for my skin! I mix a couple of drops with my tinted serum when I want an extra glow boost! So I don't use it every day, but maybe if I'm heading out to après ski and I want to keep up with the cool kids!

Trio of Lip Products
Typology has just brought out this new trio of lip products, and I ordered mine yesterday!
I do have some great go-to lip balms because I suffer from dry lips in the winter and ski season. So, I'm really excited to use them and report back on their success and whether they might replace my Elizabeth Arden intense lip repair!

And That's La Plagne feeling hydrated & glowing on the ski slopes!
I hope you've found this interesting – let me know in the comments. As I said, I might receive a small commission for anything you choose to buy, BUT I still pay for all my Typology items, and I order A LOT! I really do love them, and they rehydrate my skin throughout the winter in a way that no other brands have.

TOP TIP:
If you order and love Typology products, then sign up for their premium account. I toyed with it for a while before investing in it. It basically gives me 10% off all my purchases and also free shipping, regardless of how small the order is. I find this well worth it because my drums and oils all run out at different times, so trying to group together orders to get free shipping was a pain. Now, I don't have to worry about it.
