Aime 2000 is a fantastic choice for families, offering a safe, convenient, and enjoyable environment for all ages. The village's compact design means that everything you need is within easy walking distance, and indoors! Restaurant Recommendations in Aime 2000
Aime 2000 boasts a variety of dining options that cater to all tastes, ensuring that every family member finds something they love.
- Expedition: One of our favourite restaurants for date night – leave the kids behind for this one. A fantastic, weekly changing menu to use what's in season and what can be sourced locally.
- La Marmotte Qui Fume: This family-friendly restaurant serves a mix of international and local dishes, catering to all dietary preferences. They also do a fantastic fondue.

Bars and Après Ski in Aime 2000
Aime 2000 has more restaurants than bars. However, there are still some good ones. The telemetro pedestrian lift also runs between Aime 2000 and Plagne Centre until 1 am, so within 5 minutes you can be in Plagne Centre and in the hub of most of the bars for après and evening parties.
La Rhumerie: A small and funky rum bar. Very popular with the locals and great for a post-ski drink or after-dinner digestif.
Non-Skiing Activities in Aime 2000
While Aime 2000 itself doesn't have a wide range of non-skiing activities, the free Telemetro lift connects you to other villages in La Plagne, where a variety of activities await. Here are some highlights available in nearby Plagne Centre and other parts of the resort.
However, in Aime 2000, you do have the ESF office and access to all the non-skiing activities they provide, like night-time sledding, snowshoeing, the ESF kids creche and more.
Accommodation Recommendations in Aime 2000
Aime 2000 as mentioned above is well known for its ‘striking’ infrastructure. As you can imagine looking at it, most of the accommodation is therefore apartments with some residencies offering hotel-style accommodation. There are no chalets in Aime 2000. Most of the apartments in Aime 2000 are self-catered and overall, there is some of the cheapest accommodation in La Plagne here. And because of the design of the main block of buildings, your apartment will either have views of the ski slopes or views across the valley to Mont Blanc.
If you’re looking for information on some of the apartments in Aime 2000, then I’d recommend using one of the following companies:

Ski Schools in Aime 2000
The main ski school in Aime 2000 is ESF. ESF have an office here and also the meeting point for the ski school groups is on the snowfront just outside the main building. ESF offers a comprehensive range of lessons for all ages and skill levels, with multilingual instructors. More about ESF.
Oxygene Ski School: Not based in Aime 2000 but in Plagne Centre. However, they will come to pick you up with their free minibus shuttle to get you to and from your lessons. So this might actually be a great option for you. More about Oxygene Ski School here.
Skiing in Aime 2000
Aime 2000 has some great access to the best skiing conditions in La Plagne, thanks to its high altitude and direct access to the slopes.
- Beginner Friendliness: The village features several gentle slopes and beginner areas, making it ideal for those new to skiing. However, skiing out of Aime 2000 is quite friendly. Skiing back into Aime 2000 from the Plagne Centre side of the map means taking the Becoin chairlift and then skiing quite a steep blue piste back to Aime 2000. If you are a beginner or nervous skier, this is not a friendly return. I would recommend stopping in Plagne Centre and taking the Telemetro pedestrian ski lift back up to Aime 2000.
- Ski-in/Ski-out Accommodation: I want to say that all of the accommodations offer direct access to the slopes (although I’m sure there is something that isn’t!), allowing you to start your day of skiing right from your doorstep.
Shopping and Services in Aime 2000
Aime 2000 is well-equipped with essential services and shopping options, ensuring that all your needs are met during your stay. The Spar mini-supermarket is actually quite large and well-stocked. Yes, it’s more expensive than a larger supermarket in the valley, but it’s still good for those essential bits and pieces.
Then there are several ski rental shops for equipment hire, and clothing shops with great selections of ski and fashion gear. Plus a large Tabac with a great selection of souvenirs.
