Araucaria Hotel & Spa
A luxury 4-star option right at the foot of the slopes. It’s stylish but still family-friendly, with a pool, spa, games area, and cinema room. Great food and ski-in-ski-out access seal the deal. I love the bar area here. The cocktails and drinks menu is great, and the games room in the extended bar area is all free and perfect for kids to blow off some steam while you enjoy some grown-up time. They often have singers and evening entertainments in the bar as well.
Hotel Terra Nova
Perfect for families looking for half-board convenience and doorstep skiing. It’s an older hotel, but the location on the side of the green slope, just above the Boulevard chairlift, and pricing make it a practical choice.
HO36
A brilliant budget hotel/hostel hybrid with private rooms and apartments. It’s no-frills but has a fun, youthful vibe, plus a great location in the centre. The restaurant is also really great and has a play space for kids, pool tables and table football to keep kids entertained.
Graciosa by VIP SKI (opening 2025/26)
For those planning ahead, this new hotel/apartment hybrid promises luxury touches and high-end service right in La Plagne Centre. Plus, the prices for the opening year look amazing, and I’m sure the prices will jump up after year one. If you want childcare as well, this one should be high on your list. Definitely one to watch!

Apartments are a popular choice for families who want a bit more space and flexibility, especially when it comes to meal times and winding down after ski school.
Manaka – Luxury Apartments
A newer luxury residence, Manaka combines the best of hotel-style amenities with the privacy of your own apartment in Plagne Centre. Expect modern interiors, ski lockers, and a central location. I had friends stay here over Christmas 2024, so I spent a lot of time here, and I was really impressed. Budget Options with Heidi
If you’re watching the pennies, Heidi offers a fantastic range of residences and apartments at great prices. From my research over winter 24/25, they have the cheapest prices on the market at the moment. Many of their apartments in Plagne Centre are right on the slopes or just a short walk from lifts and shops.
L’Oree des Pistes Apartments
Bookable through Peak Feeling Ski, these are perfectly located. The building is ski-in-ski-out, but the apartments are on the higher floors of the building, giving you excellent views out onto the snow front and the Colorado chairlift. They are ideal for families. Peak Feeling also offer extra support like transfers, lift passes and even private chefs if you fancy an upgrade. I’ve had several clients stay in these apartments, and the kitchens are a great size for a professional chef to whip up delicious meals in comfort.
La Plagne Centre Accommodation Chalets
Unlike some other La Plagne villages, chalets in Plagne Centre are limited. Most of the accommodation in the Centre is hotels, residences and apartments. But there are still some great options if you know where to look – and I do!
Chalet Yogi – Alpoholics
This is one of my favourite chalets in all of La Plagne. One of the few catered chalets in Plagne Centre, Chalet Yogi is run by Alpoholics, known for their relaxed, friendly service and excellent chefs. It's close to the slopes, with delicious food, a hot tub and a sociable vibe. Peak Feeling Ski
If you’re after a private chalet at the lowest price, with total flexibility over what you want to include, then you need to check out Peak Feeling Ski. They have a huge selection of lovely chalets on their books, at the lowest prices you can find. Then, you can work with them to build a bespoke holiday, which sounds fancy! But basically means you can add on all the different elements you want for your holiday. Think basics like housekeeping, ski hire, lessons, ski passes and then more unique things like childcare, private chef, activities and more. It's ideal if you want space for the whole family, but still want hotel-style amenities. These apartments are self-catered, so if you want to take it to the next level, I would book an apartment at Manaka with Peak Feeling Ski (below) and add in a private chef for a delicious, luxury stay.
Orée des Pistes
I’ve mentioned these above, so no need to harp on! But these are lovely and tick so many boxes for a luxury family ski apartment in Plagne Centre. The main thing being the location – you cannot get closer to the ski school meeting points and the ski lifts.
Araucaria Hotel & Spa
Araucaria is hands-down one of the best hotels in La Plagne Centre, especially if you're after a full-service experience. Families love the stylish décor, pool and Nuxe Spa and wellness area, and on-site restaurant. But the pièce de résistance is the lounge bar and playroom for the kids. It’s ski-in-ski-out, of course, and has that special mix of comfort and convenience that really makes a difference when you're travelling with little ones. You can book the Araucaria directly, but I’d also recommend booking it via Peak Feeling Ski below.
Peak Feeling Ski – Bespoke Luxury
