ABOUT

Brix Bar La Plagne

Brix Bar is in Plagne Centre. It's within in the shopping internal corridors but also looking out on the to the snow. You can find it just between Croq'Neige and Oxygene Ski School

The selection of beers is, of course, fantastic! You can't find a larger selection in La Plagne. They have beers from all over Europe plus further afield – China, America and more.

But Brix La Plagne also have a decent wine list, Prosecco and often have Sangria available in the summer – also delicious! I am actually a Prosecco drinker over beer. I love that the Prosecco is served in gorgeous cut-glass coupé glasses!

Plus they have really improved their cocktail menu over winter 2022/23 and have a selection of really pretty, delicious cocktails as well.

Food is classic French snacks, cheese and charcuterie platters. Plus all drinks are served with free snacks, nuts or pretzels etc.

Brix is open from 17h30 – 22h in summer. Closed Wednesdays.

The Full Insider Guide to Le Brix La Plagne

When Brix Bar La Plagne opened, it brought something completely new to Plagne Centre – and the whole of La Plagne. With the range of bottled beers and drafts on tap, there are more beers that you can drink on a 1 week ski holiday (not a challenge)!

Whilst breweries are more commonplace in the UK, in France – and especially in the mountains – they are quite specialist.

With lovely modern but comfortable decoration, imagine exposed brick walls and leather club-style chairs and sofas. You can relax at the low tables or pull up a stool at the bar. Owners Toffe and Carole are some welcoming! They are some of the most friendly bar/business owners in La Plagne and will always make you feel welcome.

If you're travelling with kids, then they are welcome in Brix! And Toffe will make a big fuss of them! However, it's not super “little-kid” friendly inside, e.g., no toys/games etc., and it doesn't feel comfortable letting them run around – because it's a nice bar!

If you have a baby buggy, it will fit through the doors and park comfortably next to most of the tables.

The toilets are back outside the bar – out of the main door and turn left. They are really nice, large clean toilets. Again, they are suitable for small children and can comfortably fit a buggy inside them.

How to book Brix Bar

If you're as keen as I was to visit Brix Bar for yourself, booking is just a quick step away. Simply reach out directly to them to secure your spot. You can call at +33 (0)9 52 55 24 47. They're super responsive, and it's the best way to ensure you get the experience you're looking for. Don't forget to mention any special requests or questions you might have.

And That's La Plagne @ Brix Bar

Brix is a big favourite for locals and holiday makers. The warm welcome that everyone receives makes you want to return again and again. The selection of beers is great, but if you're not a beer drinker, then feel reassured that there is some decent wine and Processo, juices and soft drinks available.

TOP TIPS:

  1. Take something with you to entertain the kids at Brix, because once you get there, you'll be settled in for the night!
  2. If you're heading for an après ski session, I'd recommend changing first. It's not a ski boots and snow gear vibe.
  3. Try some of the local Savoyarde beers, there's plenty to choose from. My husbands favourite is Paix Dieu.
