The Ultimate Guide to La Plagne's Cocktail Scene

La Plagne cocktail bars

Living in La Plagne has its perks, especially when it comes to discovering the best spots to kick back after hitting the slopes. The après-ski scene here is buzzing, filled with unique spots that offer everything from cosy family vibes to lively atmospheres. As a family ski expert and a local, I've had my fair share of exploring where to grab the best cocktails in town. So, let’s dive into the top cocktail hot spots in La Plagne, perfect for capping off your ski day.

Hotel Araucaria, Plagne Centre

First up is the Hotel Araucaria. This place has a sleek bar that's all about elegance and comfort. What makes it stand out is the variety of the cocktail menu but also the great bar space and layout.

As well as the large bar area, which regularly has live music. There is also a large games area with vintage arcade games, a poker table, a pool table, and toys for younger kids. And they are all free to enjoy. So the kids can run around and have fun whilst you enjoy a delicious cocktail or 2.

Floe Bar, Plagne Centre

Then there's Floe Bar, the epitome of modern alpine chic. The ambiance is spot-on with its stylish decor and fantastic views across to Mont Blanc. Their cocktails are not to be missed, whether it’s a long lunch, après, or evening – and I’ve done all three!

Expédition, Aime 2000

Expédition is where the foodies gather. The delicious, regularly changing menu put together by owners and chef and host, Sam and Ludyvine, is worth stopping for on its own. But the cocktail menu is also a refreshing change from the classic après ski beers.

They also do a Sunday brunch which is well worth a visit. I’ve often headed up there on my own for breakfast and a cocktail and highly recommend you do the same.

White Moon Bar at the White Pearl Residence, Plagne Villages

For something newer on the La Plagne scene, head over to the White Moon Bar. Located in the White Pearl Residence, this bar offers an exclusive atmosphere with breathtaking views. The cocktails here are sophisticated, ideal for those looking to unwind in a more serene setting. It’s particularly great for couples or families looking for a quiet end to their day.
