When is La Plagne open 2026/27 winter ski season?

The La Plagne 26/27 winter ski season is the 12th of December 2026 to the 24th April 2027.
The Paradiski area, with is La Plagne and Les Arcs connected by the Vanoise Express, is open until 17th April 2026.
The prices for the 2026/27 season are now out. We always expect a price increase of around 10%. However, this year, we're seeing an average of a 3% increase. So thats a small comfort!

La Plagne Lift Passes – back to basics
La Plagne is a French ski resort located in the Tarentaise valley, in the Savoie region of France.
Since 2003, La Plagne has been joined together with the Les Arcs ski resort to make the Paradiski ski area. The two resorts are connected together by The Vanoise Express, the largest cable car in the world, which has 2 cabins that alternate and carry up to 201 people across the valley.
The Paradiski ski area is one of the biggest in Europe, and the second biggest linked ski area in the world. In total there are 425kms of skiable pistes and 160 lifts.
La Plagne Coordinates: 45.5064°N 6.67722°E
This is the first thing you need to be aware of for lift passes. There are La Plagne lift passes covering the La Plagne resort. And then there are Paradiski lift passes, covering Les Arcs and La Plagne, i.e., Paradiski.
Avoid these common ski holiday booking mistakes
One of the biggest mistakes I see is people booking everything in the wrong order. In this video, I explain the simple booking timeline I recommend to make planning your ski holiday much easier.
Age Groups for lift passes
- Under 5 are free
- 5 – 12 are classed for child passes
- 13 – 64 adult lift pass rates
- 65 – 74 senior pass rates
- 75+ senior plus rates
There are some age cut-offs you need to be aware of for lift passes that apply whether you are buying a La Plagne or Paradiski pass.
But then this changes if you are buying a family pass. See below.
Winter 2026/27 La Plagne lift pass discounts
When it comes to lift pass discounts, the price is the same whether you buy in advance of your ski holiday or once you get into the resort. There are occasional ski pass sales, but they are often flash sales that we are not pre-warned about. However, as soon as I hear about them, I fire out an email to all my followers to let them know.

Family lift passes
25€ per person discount
A family pass is available for either La Plagne or Paradiski and is for 6 – 8 consecutive days. A family pass is basically a group of:
- 2 adults
- 2 (or more) kids
You don't have to be related, it can be any combination of friends and people who fall into these categories.
However, when it comes to buying family passes, children are counted as under 18, not under 13, as per the individual pass age ranges above. So if you have teenage children in your group, 14 – 17, then these family passes might be the option for you.
Passes must all be bought at the same time and paid with one payment.
To be clear, you all also need to buy the same pass – all La Plagne passes or all Paradiski passes.
Tribu Passes
10€ discount per person
Tribu passes are available for 3 OR MORE people buying passes:
- For the same duration, 6 – 8 days
- For the same area
- In the same age bracket
Passes must be bought at the same time and with one payment.

2026/27 La Plagne Season Lift Pass Prices
Looking at the ski pass prices from last winter, the La Plagne season passes have increased, but we're looking at a 3% or 22€ increase.
The price of an adult Paradiski pass has gone up 14€, which is not terrible. But to put it into perspective, a daily update to head to Les Arcs is 28€. Basically, if you go over to Les Arcs 5 times or less, then get the daily passes to make it cheaper. 6 trips or more, get the Paradiski season pass.Â
The price of a 2-week ski pass is almost the same as a season pass (only 12€ less for an adult La Plagne). So if you are heading to either the Paradiski or La Plagne area regularly, i.e., more than 2 weeks, then buying a season pass is the option for you.
We also now have an annual lift pass price to bundle the summer bike lifts together. However, there is little discount between buying the winter and summer passes separately and bundling them together.
NOTE: Paradiski area is open until 17th April 2026.
Ski Season: 1 day per week or 2 days per week
2026/27 La Plagne Season Lift Pass Prices
You can buy a season pass that gives you 1 day out of each 7 or 2 days out of 7 on the mountain.Â
This might be a great option if you are working a season and only have one or two days off to go skiing.
Things to be aware of:
- You cannot carry over un-used days
- Weeks run from Friday – Saturday
- There is no Paradiski 1/7 lift pass.
- Available online only until the 13th of December
- Additional days (unlimited) can be purchased only in ski pass offices at:
- La Plagne 44€ per day
- Paradiski 62€ adults
- You will need to provide a photo when buying these ski lift passes.

Pedestrian Lift Passes for Non-Skiers
There are differing prices for each age group. Also, be aware that the La Plagne pedestrian passes do not include the Vanoise Express. This is an extra pass needed.
Pedestrian passes are only available at sales points and ticket machines (not available online).
For safety reasons, pedestrian access is limited to the following ski lifts:
- Gondolas: Roche de Mio, Funiplagne, Champagny, Lac Noir & Montalbert
- Chairlifts: La Roche, 1800, Montchavin & Pierres Blanches
Disability Ski Lift Passes
There is a reduction of 50% for the skier who is disabled and their accompanying person. The discount is based on 2 people getting the same passes, i.e. 2 x La Plagne lift passes or 2 x Paradiski passes, for the same dates and for the same age group.
However, I did query this to find out if you would receive the discount for your teenager/child if they were your accompanying person, and they did say yes at the pass office in Plagne Centre – but you might need to ‘fight' for it!
You do need to bring proof of your disability, e.g., the UK blue badge.
Paradiski and La Plagne Lift Pass FAQs
When is the cheapest time to buy ski lift passes?
When it comes to the cheapest pass prices, the prices listed on the above page are the set prices from the pass office. There are discounted weeks for the first and last week of the season, as there are usually fewer lifts open over those weeks. If you're just looking at a normal week, then it doesn't make a difference as to whether you buy before you get here or if you buy in the resort. It will still cost the same. If you have any old La Plagne lift passes, then you can recharge those passes online, meaning you don't even need to go collect them when you get here. That's probably the option I would suggest because you avoid the lines!Â
What types of ski lift passes are available in La Plagne?
La Plagne offers a variety of ski lift passes to suit different needs. You can choose from day passes, multi-day passes, and season passes. There are also special passes for families, beginners, and those who want to explore the entire Paradiski area, which includes Les Arcs and Peisey-Vallandry.
Can I buy a ski lift pass online?
Yes, you can purchase ski lift passes online through the official La Plagne website or the Paradiski website. Buying online can save you time but the prices are the same online as buying in resort. You can then collect your lift passes in resort from a kiosk at the pass office. Or get them sent to you at home before your holiday. Just allow 10 days for delivery.
Are there discounts available for families or groups?
Absolutely! La Plagne offers various discounts for families and groups. Family passes are available for two adults and at least two children, providing significant savings. Additionally, group discounts are available for larger parties, but you need to contact the lift pass office directly for this.
What are the benefits of a Paradiski pass?
The Paradiski pass grants you access to over 425 kilometers of pistes across La Plagne, Les Arcs, and Peisey-Vallandry. It’s perfect for those who want to explore more terrain and enjoy a greater variety of slopes.
Paradiski passes also come with a free first 1/2 day. So if you arrive early enough, you can ski for free on your arrival day.Â
How can I pick up my ski lift pass?
If you purchase your pass online, you can collect it at one of the lift pass offices. Each La Plagne village has a ski pass office, which include automated kiosks. Alternatively, you can have it delivered to you at home before your holiday. Just allow 10 days for them to arrive before you travel.
Is it possible to get a refund on unused ski lift passes?
In La Plagne, it is not possible to get a refund on your ski lift pass for unused days. However, if you are unable to use your lift pass because of illness or injury, then get in touch with your insurance company, as they will usually cover the refund. However, each insurance company is different, so get in touch with them to find out.
Can I upgrade my ski lift pass during my stay?
If you decide you want more access or an extended period of skiing, you can upgrade your pass at any of the ticket offices throughout La Plagne. Keep your original pass and any receipts to facilitate the process.
You cannot upgrade your La Plagne ski pass online.
What should I do if I lose my ski lift pass?
If you lose your ski lift pass, report it immediately to the nearest ticket office. They can issue a replacement, but only if you have proof of the original pass. On each La Plagne or Paradiski lift pass, there is a unique reference number: WTP: XXX. Take a photo of this reference number so that if you lose the pass, you can get it replaced for no extra cost.Â

La Plagne is committed to sustainability. They offer rechargeable cards for lift passes, reducing waste. Additionally, by encouraging online purchases and using electronic kiosks, the resort minimizes paper usage.

Hi! I found these comments when I was also wondering about eligibility for the disability discount using UK documents.
We bought mine and my husband’s lift pass in Montalbert on Monday morning. I just said I have a disability and want to check if I can use the discount then handed over my blue badge, PIP letter and a hospital letter. They didn’t open the letters, just checked the blue badge and gave us both the 50% discount.

We have YUGE paradiski lift passes from skiing in just Les Arcs/Peisey Vallandry in Jan’23 can we recharge these online using the numbers on them to buy a La Plagne area pass for a week skiing from 31/12/23 or will we need to get new passes when we arrive in resort please?
