Georges and Monique, who ran it for decades, retired recently, and while their presence is missed, Ginette has breathed new life into the space. The restaurant has been completely refurbished with a light, modern yet warm Alpine design. You can feel the care and thought that went into creating a space that’s welcoming for everyone, from families with little ones to groups of friends après-skiing.
The location couldn’t be more convenient, right in Aime 2000’s main gallery. It’s easy to find whether you’re skiing, walking, or even if you’re navigating with a pushchair or wheelchair. While L'Arlequin held a lot of sentimental value for locals, Ginette has done an excellent job of creating a fresh identity while respecting the past.

I’ll admit, this visit was just my husband Kit and me – our kids were off skiing – but it was clear Ginette is a fantastic spot for families.
First, the little details stand out. The kids’ menu isn’t an afterthought; it’s got options that are genuinely appealing, not just standard nuggets and chips. We saw plenty of families sharing pizzas, which are perfect for those moments when you just want something easy and comforting after a long day skiing.
The restaurant also goes the extra mile with touches that make dining with kids easier. A whole wall is covered in children’s colouring pages, and there are crayons available, which is such a simple but thoughtful way to keep little ones entertained. I could see parents relaxing and enjoying their meals while their kids stayed happily occupied.
From my perspective, this is exactly the kind of place that takes the stress out of family dining. When we come back with the kids, I know they’ll love the atmosphere as much as we did.

I don’t say this lightly: the CBR (Chicken, Bacon, Reblochon) burger might be the best chicken burger I’ve had all year.
