Odyssea La Plagne 2026 Overview
The Odyssea series, spanning 14 towns across France, has become a beacon of hope and community engagement. La Plagne's race stands out, offering participants the chance to experience the unique challenge of a snow race. With four different race options, the event caters to all ages and fitness levels, ensuring that everyone can contribute to this noble cause in their own way.

Race Options
- 1 km Children's Race: A fun run for kids aged 5 to 12, encouraging young ones to participate in the cause early.
- 5 km walk: Not timed. Perfect for those looking to enjoy the stunning alpine scenery at their own pace, without the pressure of timing.
- A 5km timed run: Not timed. Again, perfect for the less competitive ones out there.
- 9 km Timed Run: Offers a bit more of a challenge for those seeking to test their limits, all in the spirit of charity.
Registration and Participation
The event emphasises ease of participation, with online registration now open and options for those who can't be present in person. By purchasing a pink Odyssea t-shirt or joining the connected distance race, supporters from afar can still make a significant impact.
Collecting Your Race Kit
Participants can collect their race numbers and T-shirts at designated locations in Belle Plagne. The process is designed to be smooth and efficient, allowing you to focus on the experience rather than the logistics. It's early days yet, but you'll be able to collect your t-shirt and race number ahead of the race day – or on the day.

Preparing for the Odyssea Race
Preparation is key to enjoying the Odyssea race to its fullest. Whether you're participating in person or remotely, here are a few steps to ensure you're ready:
- Download the Odysséa App: For connected race participants, this app will be your guide to logging your kilometers and sharing your achievements. Download the Odyssea App here.
- Medical Certification: A valid medical certificate is required for the 10 km race participants, emphasizing the event's commitment to safety.
- Parental Authorisation: For participants under age, parental authorization is necessary to ensure a family-friendly environment.
My Experience from the 2023 & 2024 Odyssea Events
I had the privilege of participating in the 5 km non-timed race alongside my 6-year-old son and his school friends. It was an experience filled with laughter, camaraderie, and the shared goal of making a difference. Running – ok, walking! – through the snow, surrounded by the La Plagne mountains and the Dou du Praz area, it was not only a physical journey but an emotional one as well.

Top Tips for Participants
- Dress in Layers: Despite the cold surroundings, the physical exertion will quickly warm you up. Opt for lighter layers that you can easily remove.
- Bring a Bag: A backpack or a similar bag is essential for storing the layers you shed during the race.
- Stay Hydrated: Don't underestimate the importance of water, even in the cold. Bring a bottle to stay hydrated throughout the event.
Supporting the Cause Beyond the Race
For those unable to join the physical event in La Plagne, there are still plenty of ways to contribute to the cause. The connected distance race is an excellent option for participating remotely. Additionally, purchasing event merchandise like the pink Odyssea t-shirt directly supports breast cancer research.
That's La Plagne & the Odyssea Race
The Odyssea La Plagne race is more than just a sporting event; it's a powerful movement that brings people together for a cause that resonates deeply with many. It's an opportunity to challenge oneself, enjoy the incredible scenery of the French Alps, and, most importantly, contribute to the fight against breast cancer. As we look forward to the 2026 race, let's lace up our running shoes, embrace the spirit of solidarity, and make a difference, one stride at a time.
See you on the slopes!
