When it comes to ski holidays, the thrill of carving down the slopes is beautifully balanced with the need for relaxation and rejuvenation. As a family that lives and breathes the ski resort lifestyle, I'm excited to share my insights on the Deep Nature Spa in Belle Plagne—a haven of tranquillity amidst the exhilarating buzz of skiing in La Plagne. Join me as we delve into the serenity and indulgence that this spa offers to families seeking the ultimate escape.

Why are spas so popular in ski resorts?

Skiing is an incredible adventure, but it can leave your muscles in need of some pampering. That's why spas, like the renowned Deep Nature Spa in La Plagne, have become a staple in ski resorts. They provide a space where families can unwind, ease sore muscles, and connect with nature's soothing embrace.

Is it a good idea to visit a spa on a ski holiday?

Absolutely! After an invigorating day on the slopes, a visit to the spa can be the perfect way to wind down. It allows families to enjoy the best of both worlds—thrilling outdoor activities and peaceful indoor rejuvenation.

My experience at the Deep Nature Spa, La Plagne

I have the pleasure of visiting the Deep Nature Spa in La Plagne regularly over the winter, and I must say, every time I go, it's just great!

Tucked away in Belle Plagne, you enter from the main street in Belle Plagne, and the views don't seem that impressive. But once you are into the spa facilities, the views across the ski sloes and mountains immerse you in the Alpine ambience.

From the moment I stepped inside, I was greeted with a sense of calm and serenity. The spa's ambience is both inviting and soothing, making it the perfect escape from the chilly mountain air. The warm and earthy tones of the decor created an immediate sense of comfort, while the soft lighting and natural materials lend an air of rustic but modern elegance.

The highlight of my visits is always the outdoor hot tubs. I've sat in these on bluebird sunny days and also when the snow had been coming down all around us. Sinking into a bubbling Jacuzzi, feeling the warm water work its magic on my body while my gaze wandered across the breathtaking panorama is my idea of heaven. A moment of pure bliss, a true union of nature and relaxation. It's a great way to unwind after a day on the slopes.

Then, I always make sure to visit the relaxation area, where there are usually 2 herbal teas, orange and lemon to enjoy whilst enjoying the view of the snow-covered peaks.

What strikes me most about the Deep Nature Spa is its ability to blend the Alpine surroundings with its wellness offerings seamlessly. The saunas and steam rooms, for instance, are designed to provide not just physical relief but also a deep sense of connection with the mountains. Stepping out onto the terrace after a session in the sauna, the crisp mountain air was like a balm for my senses.

The staff at the spa are welcoming and attentive, ensuring that every aspect of your visit is enjoyable. They were knowledgeable about the treatments and facilities, and will guide you through treatments with professionalism and warmth.

My visits to the Deep Nature Spa in La Plagne are more than just spa days; for me, they are an integral part of an alpine ski holiday experience.

If you're looking to add a touch of luxury, relaxation, and rejuvenation to your ski adventure, I wholeheartedly recommend immersing yourself in the serenity of the Deep Nature Spa. It's an experience that embodies the essence of the mountains and leaves you with memories of pure relaxation and bliss.

I opt for a 2-hour entry to the adult “premium” spa space, which costs 40€ for a 2-hour slot. Absolutely book ahead to reserve your space. You can book online or call ahead. Be aware that the spa limits access to maintain the atmosphere of the spa, so bookings can be in high demand, especially in snowy or “bad” weather.

Are kids welcome at the Deep Nature Spa?

Yes, the Deep Nature Spa in Belle Plagne warmly welcomes families, and they've even created a separate family area to ensure that everyone can enjoy their spa experience. This family-friendly approach sets the stage for unforgettable moments of relaxation for both parents and children. A family pass for the spa costs 72€ for 4 people.

Although to be completely transparent, I haven't visited with my children because, honestly, I don't think they would appreciate it. They are happier just splashing around at the Magic Swimming Pool in Bellecôte. Whenever I visit Deep Natute, I opt for the adults-only area over the family pools and spa space.
