Made while you watch – and bigger than you can imagine! – you can choose either crêpes or sweet waffles. We often stop here for an afternoon snack with the kids to boost their energy after a long ski day. It's one of the best takeaway places in La Plagne and only 4€ for a lemon and sugar pancake or 4.50€ for a Nutella crêpe.
2 Le Biollet, Becoin Peak
Le Biollet is a great spot to stop for a quick snack or a longer lunch. It really is at the top of the central La Plagne peaks, enjoying 360 views down towards Aime 2000, Plagne Centre, and also across to Courchevel. The crêpes from the snack stop are perfect for a lighter lunch or quick bite and big enough to fill up your little skiers!
3 Le Monica's, Plagne Soleil
For those who love variety, Le Monica's serves up a mix of French cuisine alongside their fantastic crêpes. It's an ideal spot for those who want a varied menu to enjoy a broader taste of French cuisine.
4 Les Inversens, Roche de Mio
Known for its fantastic location, up at the top of Roche de Mio. You can enjoy a longer, full lunch or grab a crêpe, relax, and enjoy the view! Les Inversens is a hit with both locals and visitors. Their crêpes come highly recommended – perfect for a lunch break or a snack stop between ski runs.
5 Chez Marie, Plagne Centre
For a truly authentic Breton crêpe experience, Chez Marie in Plagne Centre is the place to go. Owned by Marie, who hails from Brittany, this charming crêperie stays true to tradition, serving up perfectly crisp galettes made with buckwheat flour, just as they should be.
The focus is on crêpes and galettes, with classic and inventive fillings alike. There are other options on the menu, from steaks to burgers and fondue. But the galettes and sweet crêpes are a must! When we were there last I had a delicious galette with king prawns and then a Snickers crêpe for dessert – both were so good!
What really sets Chez Marie apart is the traditional pairing of galettes with Breton cider, served in authentic ceramic bowls. It’s the perfect way to enjoy the meal as it was meant to be eaten. The cosy, welcoming atmosphere makes it a great spot for families, couples, and groups alike, whether you’re stopping in for a relaxed lunch or a sit-down dinner after a long day on the slopes.
6 Crêperie Le Flocon , Bellecote
On the snow front in Bellecote, Le Flocon has both a seated area and a takeaway option. Serving great crêpes to either eat in the restaurant or to take away and enjoy on the move, it’s a great option. Be aware that it gets very busy at a preset time, 4 – 5 pm, and the seated area will be prioritized over the takeaway kiosk. My favourite here is the salted-caramel crêpe to take away – delicious. I'm not ashamed to say I was licking the extra sauce off the cardboard plate!
7 Killis, Levasette Piste
If you're craving a proper savoury crêpe (galette) after a morning on the slopes, Les Killis in Belle Plagne is the place to go. This cosy spot serves authentic Breton-style galettes, made with buckwheat flour for that perfect crispy texture and rich, nutty flavour.
The menu offers a great selection, from classic ham, egg, and cheese (complète) to more indulgent options like raclette cheese, potatoes, and bacon – perfect for a hearty après-ski meal. They also cater well to vegetarians.
One of the best things about Les Killis is the relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. It’s family-friendly, with a warm indoor, including the solarium area, so you can still enjoy watching th skiers zipping past. It's an ideal lunch stop when the weather’s chilly. Plus, if you’re skiing with little ones, they offer smaller portions for kids.
Service is friendly, prices are reasonable for the quality, and it’s a great alternative to the usual mountain burger and pizza options. If you’re after a proper French alpine meal that isn’t overly heavy, a galette and a side salad from Les Killis is the perfect choice.
