1 Ski-themed clothing and accessories

Help your dad stay warm and stylish on the slopes with ski-themed clothing and accessories. Consider a cosy fleece jacket with his favourite ski resort logo, a pair of high-quality ski gloves, or a warm beanie with a fun ski-themed design. These gifts are not only practical but also show off his love for skiing.

  • Before buying anything new, check out WhoSki.com for secondhand bargains.
  • Jibbin beanie hats & sweaters. Sustainably made clothes from recycled fleece blankets. We love our family beanies! I'm stocking up on sweaters or shirts for the coming winter.
  • Rent a ski outfit for your dad to enjoy on his next ski holiday with EcoSki. This is a great way to keep him up-to-date each year, without breaking the bank on a new outfit every winter.
  • Snowshepherd gloves from father and son team Tim and Brendan. A modern update on the classic leather liftie gloves. Look good, and stay warm! We absolutely love the leather Ski Guide Pro model. I of couse like them in pink, but my husband prefers the black!
  • New goggles. I treated myself to some Panda Optics goggles this winter. The kids have been using them for years, and it was time to update myself. I love the Dual Vision, blue & pink model, the lenses are super easy to change over. I'll definitely be updating my husband for this winter.
  • Fun ski-themed socks from United Odd Socks. Because every dad needs some ski-themed socks! They've got this great gift box of 3 pairs of On the Piste socks.

2 Ski gadgets and upgrades

If your dad is an avid skier, consider upgrading his equipment as a Father's Day gift. This could include new skis, boots, or bindings. Do some research to find out what type of equipment would best suit his skiing style and level. You could also consider getting him a ski tuning kit or a gift card to his favourite ski shop. Upgrading his equipment will not only improve his performance on the slopes but also show him how much you support his passion for skiing.

I’ve focused here on the ski gadgets that we use and love, and hopefully your ski dad will love them too! They’ll make a big difference to our skiing experience, but they also won’t break the bank in the way that a new pair of skis might!

I've created a ski gift list below so you can check them all out nice and easily.

  • Ski or snowboard lock – always important for leaving skis safely outside of après bars! Plus, they can double up as travel locks for bags – and bike locks in the summer.
  • Go Pro Camera – I recently treated myself to the GoPro Hero 11, and I love it! Getting to grips with all the functionality, but definitely the best snow sports camera on the market (IMO!). I find it's a lot easier to use and edit than the Insta 360.
  • Home waxing kit – for the DIY lovers out there! My kids love waxing their skis with dad at the start and end of each winter!
  • Avalanche safety gear. There's a lot to research and choose from. I've covered some of my top avalanche safety items in this popular blog post and I've had several clients get the transeiver mentionned in the review.
  • Anker portable power bank, ideal for those using their phones constantly on the mountain! We've just upgraded ours to this white one, and it's always in my backpack when I head out on the ski slopes.
  • Mous phone case or lanyard – make your phone indestructible – seriously! They test their phone cases by throwing them off buildings and bridges!
  • trixski PhoneSafe. I love this bungee phone lanyard for keeping my phone attached to me on the slopes. My parter is a fan, too, especially on chairlifts! Discount code TSANG10 for 10% off all your trixski shopping.
  • Wireless headphones. I’m a big Apple fan, so we love our Wireless Apple AirPods to combine with all our other gadgets
  • Tessan Travel adaptor. Great for ski holidays, but also for travel worldwide. We can never have enough of these with us!
  • TSA-approved travel bag locks. It's super handy for ski and snowboard bags, but also for any travel worldwide. I've just used these for camping and travelling with the kids this spring.
  • Apple AirTag, get a pack of 4 because these are great for all the family – and to put in your kids’ ski backpack when they're out skiing on the mountain! I had a guest this winter drop one of these in the snow at Bergerie après and find it again months later using the tracking – amazing!

3 Ski-themed home decor

If your dad loves skiing but can't hit the slopes all year round, consider getting him some ski-themed home decor. This could include a vintage ski poster, a ski-themed throw pillow, or a set of ski-themed coasters. These items will add a touch of ski culture to his home and remind him of his favourite winter sport even when he's not on the mountain.

  • Bodhi & Lo Art – beautiful watercolours. Everything from birthday cards to digital prints and original wall pieces.
  • Posters de Savoie – The brainchild of local Patrick Hazeaux. These classic old prints are available for summer and winter and in most ski resorts. My partner is a big fan.
  • Cheese fondue set, get an electric one, not an alcogel, open flame. It’s much easier and cooks the food much more evenly.
  • Raclette Stone. Electric for the same reasons as the fondue set. We use this a lot over the winter, especially as we've just started also cooking pizzas on it! A friend also got this for her partner's birthday this winter and they love it.
  • The Ski Guru Mountain Art:  Unique paintings, cushions and mugs. This might be more for me than my husband! But if your dad is an art lover, you must check it out.
