Planning your meals for your La Plagne holiday?
My Restaurant Guide includes 70+ restaurants, family recommendations, takeaway options, mountain restaurants and local favourites.
What takeaway food is available in La Plagne?
In La Plagne, while the takeaway food options might not be as varied as our ski trails, the quality is still great. The choices do focus heavily on on pizzas, crepes, and gauffres (waffles). But we do know that the classics never fail to satisfy after a long day on the slopes.
Best takeaway near me: finding quick bites on the go
When you’re famished after skiing and need food fast, a ‘near me’ search on your phone is the way to go. If this doesn’t bring up many suggestions, then try searching ‘takeaway’ + ‘[La Plagne village you’re staying in].
La Plagne boasts several spots just a stone's throw from the main ski areas. For a quick, pit-stop meal, I often pop into Le Bonnet in Bellecôte for great burgers, hot dogs & drinks.
Quick food options on the ski slopes
Sometimes, all you need is a speedy bite to keep the energy up. This is when the self-service options at the La Plagne mountain restaurants come into their own! Quick, delicious, and right on the pistes, there are some great options. It is not always takeaway as such, but snack food that you can grab, eat, and be back on the slopes as fast as you like. Here are some of our favourite La Plagne fast food options on the ski slopes:
- Le Biollet – above Aime 2000
- Chalet Les Verdons Sud – Champagny
- Chalet L’Arpette – Belle Plagne, on the Arpette slope
- Croq’Neige – Plagne Centre snow front
- P'Tit Bo-Bar – New for winter 23/24 in Plagne Centre
La Plagne takeaway off the ski slopes
French bakeries – Off the ski slopes, one of the best options is to head to the bakery in your La Plagne village. French bakeries just have to be experienced! Along with fluffy meringues and artistic cakes, they also have large, pre-made sandwiches, quiches, and pizza slices. You can often bundle them together with a sweet option and a drink for a takeaway picnic on the piste.
La Cheminee – We can’t talk about takeaway in La Plagne, without mentioning La Cheminee in Plagne Centre. A long-standing hero in the La Plagne landscape, La Cheminee is more often referred to as the panini shop. Yep, you guessed it, they serve paninis! They do also have other snack options, but it’s mainly panini’s. Priced at around 10€, fresh and super fast delivery, this is one of the best places to stop for a fast lunch or a late-night bite. My personal favourite? The Kentucky. My husband prefers the Texan!
La Cantine – Our current go-to spot for a fantastic pizza is La Cantine in Plagne 1800. It's hard to beat their unique and flavorsome Chicken Curry Pizza! Whether you're craving a sweet treat or something savory, these staples of the La Plagne takeaway scene are sure to hit the spot.
Chez Sushi – For non-pizza takeaway, we love Chez Sushi in Aime 2000. Really flavoursome and fresh sushi, with a variety of boxes to order, Asian sandwiches and hot dishes.

Family-friendly takeaway adventures in La Plagne
Dining with the family can be quite straightforward – if the kids enjoy pizzas! With our 2 boys, currently aged 5 and 7, they can happily share a smaller pizza together. Or, if the pizzas are on the larger size, then I will often share a pizza with them. Suddenly, the takeaway has become quite a low-priced meal option.
Another great find is the creperies in each village. In La Plagne – and most of France I think! – a crèpe (a thin pancake) is the size of a large pizza! Then, it's folded up into the shape of a pizza slice. A crèpe-like this is large enough to fill my little kids’ for an early dinner. Perhaps not the most nutritious meal, but as a treat on a family ski holiday, a Nutella crepe, or a sugar gauffre or waffle really hits the spot! You can find the best crèpe spots in La Plagne here.
Is there takeaway delivery in La Plagne?
When it comes to takeaway delivery in La Plagne, the situation is quite straightforward – currently, there are no restaurants that offer extensive food delivery services. So far, I'm only aware of Le Schuss in Aime 2000, who delivered around Aime 2000 but not to other villages. We also don't have food delivery apps operating in the area. Someone, please come and set up so I can enjoy some of the yummy La Plagne food at home! This might come as a surprise, especially if you're accustomed to the convenience of such services in other places.
Takeaway food convenience
From slope-side snacks to cosy night-in meals, La Plagne offers an array of options to satisfy your hunger without fuss. So, next time you're here, indulge in the convenience and flavours of our local takeaway spots. Remember, a great ski trip isn't just about the slopes – it's also about the delightful meals that fuel your adventures!
See you on the slopes!
